Reid Hoffman said years ago that influence would become the most important currency of the internet age. People laughed. Then distribution became the real bottleneck, not product, not code, and suddenly every founder is scrambling to build an audience. Something similar is happening right now with personal brand and marketing strategy, and most SMB founders are still on the wrong side of it. Here's the assumption I keep running into: that marketing strategy is something you commission. You hire someone, they go away for a few weeks, they come back with a deck. Personas, competitive analysis, SEO keywords, content pillars. You nod along, pay the invoice, and wonder why none of it ever quite fits. That model was built around scarcity of information and analyst time. Both of those constraints are gone. I've been through this with five companies before Agent Craft. Five times of watching strategy work get handed back late, built on shallow research, priced at a premium because the bottleneck was human hours. That genie is out of the bottle and is not going back in again. What's actually happening now is this. An AI agent can go out overnight, research your competitors, surface your SEO gaps, build your buyer personas, identify your content opportunities, and have a fully populated strategy ready for review before you've finished your morning coffee. Not a rough sketch. A real working foundation. I've watched people open the strategy dashboard in Agent Craft for the first time after it's run overnight and just stop. Because they expected something to do, and instead there's something to react to. That's a genuinely different starting point. The work that's left, the real stuff where you add value, is judgment. Your stories. Your experience. The insight that only comes from actually being in the market. None of that gets automated. But the hours of competitive research, the keyword mapping, the persona frameworks? Those shouldn't be bottlenecking anyone anymore. The founders still treating strategy as a slow, expensive, outsourced process aren't being careful. They're just behind.
