"AI generated content" versus "AI augmented content" — is this actually a meaningful distinction or just clever rebranding? I think it matters a lot. The "AI slop" crowd treats them as the same thing, but they're not even close to the same thing. AI generated content is what you get when someone plugs a prompt into ChatGPT, takes whatever comes out, and posts it. No voice. No context. No humans in the loop. That stuff is genuinely bad and the criticism is fair. AI augmented content is something else entirely. It's a founder's real insight, shaped and formatted by AI, distributed at scale. The intelligence is human. The execution gets help. Collapsing those two into one category is like saying a ghostwritten memoir is the same as a fully fabricated one. The attribution is similar. The substance isn't. So here's the actual question I'd put to you: if a piece of content captures a leader's genuine insight, uses their actual voice, and AI did the formatting work — is that "slop"? Or is that just how smart people get their ideas out?
