My psychology degree from the University of Cape Town spent a lot of time on how people form perception, and it comes down to this: your brand is not what you say it is. It's everyone else's perception of what it is. Perception is built from a collection of moments, not one heroic post. If enough people accumulate a common read on what you stand for, that read is your brand. You don't control it. You feed it. So the job isn't to say the perfect thing once. Two reasons I see over and over. The first is imposter syndrome. Owners feel they don't have the authority to speak on their own product, so they wait, edit, second-guess, and post nothing. The second is time. A piece takes an hour to draft, another to format, and by the third week the whole thing collapses under everything else on the founder's plate. That's exactly what held my own posting back for years. It took too long, so it didn't happen. What broke the pattern for me was treating AI as a collaborator rather than a creator. Everything I publish now comes from my own voice notes. My thoughts, my angles, my opinions. The system formats them so they sound like me because they came from me. When I look at a stack of posts I genuinely can't always tell which lines I wrote and which the system shaped. That gave me the confidence to post without agonising, because it's something I said. If your content stops the moment you get busy, don't blame your discipline. Look at your system. Fix the system and consistency stops being something you have to summon on the same afternoon you happen to find a free hour and a burst of self-belief.
