OpenAI just partnered with Axios to generate local news through ChatGPT. Does that sound like AI slop to you? Local papers got hammered by digitization, laid off their journalists, and the quality collapsed. ChatGPT output should beat what passes for local news now. I ask Grok historical questions and the answers follow my curiosity better than the New York Times. So is this a good thing or a bad thing? Is it more AI slop coming our way?
