Just watched a YouTube short about a CEO who cancelled his Salesforce contract and vibe coded his own internal CRM instead. Better fit for their pipeline. Better fit for their integrations. In theory, it sounds great, and I think most companies are going to be doing exactly this going forward. Here's where I'd push back though. Vibe coding is a quick way to build functionality and stand up your own platform. Fine. But once you own that software, you own everything around it too. Performance that doesn't tank under load. Security that holds up. Compliance you can actually prove. For the foreseeable future. Which means you need an engineering team qualified to keep all of that running. The reason some of these companies charge so much money is because they've been in the industry long enough to actually have that expertise. That's what you're paying for. So sometimes outsourcing is the better call. Why spin up your own engineering department just to run and maintain a CRM, when you could outsource it to the people who've been building and maintaining that platform for years? Owning the code is the easy part. Owning it at 2am when something breaks is the real cost. -- Repost it to your network and follow for more.
