Personal brand statement generator: what do you want to be known for?
Answer five questions, typed or out loud, and get your personal brand statement: the headline people will remember you by, your point of view, who you're for and the value you bring, plus post hooks and a one-line bio. They're the same questions we ask our own customers.
A statement you can post from tomorrow.
A headline people remember
One line that says what you stand for, written about you rather than your company.
A point of view to post from
The beliefs that make your content yours, so you stop sounding like everyone else in your feed.
Ready-to-use extras
Your themes, five post hooks and a one-line bio for LinkedIn or X.
Your background
Who are you? Tell us about your background and experience.
You personally — not your company. Where you're from, what you've done, what you've gotten good at along the way. Some details about your life outside work make your content human.
What is a personal brand statement?
A personal brand statement is one or two sentences that say what you want to be known for, who it's for and why you've earned the right to say it. It's about you as a person, not your company or your job title.
It's the filter for everything you publish. If a post doesn't support what you want to be known for, it probably isn't worth writing.
Personal brand statement vs positioning statement vs bio
Personal brand statement
What you stand for and who it's for. The idea behind everything you post. Mostly for you.
Positioning statement
The same idea for a company or product: who it's for, the category and why it's better than the alternatives.
Bio or headline
The short public version you paste into LinkedIn, X or a speaker page. It comes from the statement.
How to write a personal brand statement: the five questions
These are the questions we ask every Agent Craft customer before Craft writes a single post. Three are word for word from our own onboarding.
- Who are you? Your background and experience, including a little of your life outside work.
- Who do you most want paying attention to you? The people you'd love to see in your comments.
- What do you want to be known for? The expertise you want tied to your name, and why you.
- What do you believe about that world that others don't? The misconceptions you keep correcting.
- What proves you've earned the right to say it? One result or story. Specific beats impressive.
A simple formula
If you want to write it yourself, start here and edit until it sounds like you.
I help [who] [get what result] by [your approach], because [your proof].Personal brand statement examples
Written for founders, consultants and owners rather than job seekers. These are illustrations, not real people.
Software founder
I help first-time software founders reach their first $1M in revenue without hiring a sales team, because I did it twice with founder-led sales.
Operations consultant
I help manufacturing plants cut downtime by fixing maintenance scheduling before buying new equipment. I ran maintenance at three plants for fifteen years.
Meal-prep chef
I help busy families eat better at home with weekly meals built around what's in season, from a chef who spent ten years in restaurant kitchens.
From statement to content
A statement only matters if it changes what you post. Break it into a few recurring themes you'll come back to, and write hooks that argue your point of view. The generator above does both, and Agent Craft turns them into posts in your voice.
Personal brand statement questions
- What is an example of a personal brand statement?
- “I help first-time software founders reach their first $1M in revenue without hiring a sales team, because I did it twice with founder-led sales.” There are more examples above.
- How do I write a personal brand statement?
- Answer five questions: who you are, who you want paying attention, what you want to be known for, what you believe that others don't, and what proves it. Then use the formula above, or let the generator write it.
- Can I use AI to write my personal brand statement?
- Yes, as long as it starts from your own answers. Generic AI statements sound like everyone else. This generator writes only from what you tell it.
- How long should a personal brand statement be?
- One or two sentences. Your one-line bio is the shortest public version of it.
- Is it the same as my LinkedIn headline?
- No. The statement is the idea behind everything you post. Your headline is a short public version of it. The generator gives you both.
- Is this the same process Agent Craft customers go through?
- Yes. Three of the questions are word for word what our customers answer when they join, and the statement is written by the same system. If you start a free trial, it comes with you and you won't answer the questions again.
- Can I answer out loud?
- Yes, and we recommend it. If you sign up later, your spoken answers also teach Craft how you sound.
- What happens to my answers?
- We use them to write your statement and keep the text so you can load it into Agent Craft later. Recordings are deleted once they're transcribed, and unclaimed reports are deleted after 90 days.
